BACKING INTO A TIGHT SPOT?

Before you do, stop, get out of your truck and size up the situation.  Be aware of all obstacles, parked vehicles, buildings and overhangs, protection posts, trash bins, utility poles, overhead wires, and people!  Plan your backing route carefully to avoid collisions with anything.  If necessary, find someone to be a spotter.  Be sure to put the spotter in a safe place with a sight line so you can see his signals clearly.  Make sure to agree on signals before starting back.  As the professional you are still responsible if there is an accident.  Let’s eliminate backing accidents by preparing properly!
